All in all, it is quite obvious that the Commission acts rather independently. It can be concluded that the Commission’s interests are aimed more at the consumers in the context of providing them with information, transport ties, technologies, telecommunications and other vital pathways. That is so because mainly the CNMC is a Spanish independent competition regulator responsible for enforcing competition law.To summarize, it may be said that the CNMC is not controlled by any official body but its own President and Council. Of course, its policy goes in hand with the EU’s one but all in all the Commission acts rather independently from the Spanish Government.
